The Mia Jennings Memorial Fund, proudly supported by The Bulls Head Macclesfield

As part of our ongoing support for James & Louise Jennings here at The Bulls Head, Lauren will be doing a sky dive this March to raise money for Mia’s memorial fund ❤️

Any donations are appreciated and we’d like to thank you all for your constant support! You can donate online via the dedicated GoFundMe page.

Everyone at the pub is so proud to support this amazing cause and Mia herself would be so proud of all James and Louise and their family have done to raise awareness and keep her name alive. Ian and the team here at the Bulls Head will continue to show our love and support for you all.

James and Louise’s fundraising to raise awareness for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) is beyond amazing and we are willing to do whatever it takes to help them!

More about CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and the Mia Jennings Memorial fund

Every week in the UK at least apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. CRY’s vision is to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research and supporting affected families.

Mia’s memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY and over £44,000 has been fundraised for the charity since their daughter Mia, passed away in January 2023, after suffering a cardiac arrest at just 19 years old.

Mia’s Mum Louise will run the London Marathon this April to raise more money for the charity,. This follows other recent fundraising events such as a New Year’s Eve Tractor Run, Bonkers Bingo at Fallibroome High School and cake sales at Macclesfield Leisure Centre and The Bulls Head pub. Ian and the team organised a Christmas Raffle and you’ll always see a collection pot on the bar of the pub, so don’t forget to drop in whatever you can afford next time you’re there.

On a recent Facebook post Mia’s Dad James said: “Thanks so much for all your support. A screening day costs £6500 for 100 14-35 year olds, the pot contributions really make a difference so a massive thanks to all. We have raised enough for 4 days (400 people) so thanks to everyone for your continued support in keeping Mia’s memory alive and raising the awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young. With all the generous donations, we WILL make the screening days happen.”
